Design responsibilities

Branding – help to make sure the UKCES brand guidelines are understood and applied correctly across the organisation.
Corporate publications – support the production of high-quality corporate publications, such as the annual report and business plan.
One-off reports – assist in laying-out, typesetting and designing research and policy reports.
Collateral for events – help to design and produce banners, comment cards, briefing papers, summary leaflets and other collateral for our external events.
Data visualisation – support the delivery of data visualisations and infographics, which help to break down complex research in an accessible way.
Manage external designers – liaise with external suppliers where necessary. This may involve writing design briefs, assessing bids and giving feedback on designs.
Support colleagues with any design content – support project managers to ensure that all publications are appropriately branded and design elements are delivered on time. Also, help colleagues with designing presentations and other materials.
Print support – liaise with external printers to get quotes, create artwork to their specifications and manage the delivery process.
Manage the design process from start to finish – this brings together some of the above, and involves presenting concepts to colleagues, working up first drafts, refining designs and layouts, making edits and then preparing final versions for print or web use.
