RIO Draughting Labour Solutions processes personal data of individuals for the purpose of current and/or future job opportunities. The new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) come into effect on Friday 25th May 2018 and as such we have put details below of what this means to you about what we do with your data when you give it to us. Also included is how we secure your data and who gets to see it and use it, and how. We are required by law to only hold your information for as long as it is necessary to make sure we comply with our obligations as a data controller and our legitimate interest in holding your data. When contacted on the phone when registering with RIO Draughting Labour Solutions you will also have GDPR explained to you as well as getting confirmation you are happy for us to contact you and also the process if you want your details taken off our database in the future.
How Are We Using / Processing Your Personal Information?
Processing means obtaining, recording, collating and where necessary adapting data (by adapting, we mean certain details taken off the CV when it gets submitted to a prospective employer i.e. direct contact details). Once you ask RIO Draughting Labour Solutions to look for work for you, you will be taken through the consent to process at our interview stage with one of our consultants.
We don’t pass your data to any third party unless it is specifically to a prospective employer with the sole purpose of arranging a job interview for you, and this is only done when we have discussed this employer with you unless you have instructed us to speak with multiple companies to arrange an interview in quickening the job hunting process for you. This again, will be explained to you during your phone call with one of our consultants. We do not sell your data to any third party and we do not use your data for any advertising analytics on our site.
How Do We Keep Your Data Safe?
The information that we collect from you (i.e. from a telephone call, your publicly available social media profiles, or the information you intentionally email to us i.e. your CV and any details that prove your eligibility to work in South Africa) is processed and imputed into our secure web based database. The only people that can see your information will be employees of RIO Draughting Labour Solutions. Our offices are kept secure with terminals being password protected and no unnecessary details ever produced in paper form. Any details produced in paper form are shredded as soon as they use imputed onto our database. If for any reason beyond our control there is a data breach detected we shall inform those affected within 48 hours of discovery. We also don’t transfer your data outside of the South African borders, unless it is for an overseas position and your permission has been granted to do this.
Your Right to Be Forgotten
You have to right to have your details taken off and deleted from our secure database, this would have been explained to you when you register your details with us at the first contact from now on. Please email email@example.com with the relevant details and we will respond within 2 business days to action this for you. We would prefer that you didn’t leave us but understand that in this day and age it’s now you that is in control of who has your information.
